About Omunity Meditation

Leading meditation school in Varkala, India

Founded by a community of yogis who kept encountering the same gap

while many yoga teacher trainings focus heavily on asana, and while traditional ashrams often follow a single method, there was little room for ...

...a dedicated environment
where practitioners can step away from daily distractions, commit to practice, and explore multiple traditions of meditation.

Our vision is to create an opportunity for serious practitioners to deepen their experience of Yoga, Pranayama , Meditation and develop their physical, mental, and spiritual practice in the modern world.

Yoga Alliance RYS200 certified school

Omunity Meditation holds RYS 200 accreditation from Yoga Alliance, the global standard for professional yoga education. Graduates of the 200H Teacher Training receive an internationally recognised RYT 200 certification, valid to teach meditation and pranayama anywhere in the world.

Our approach to meditation & teaching

We are not aligned with a single tradition or method. We believe rigidity — even in the pursuit of the spiritual — tends to close more doors than it opens. We draw from classical yoga, Zen, Tibetan, non-dual, and contemporary frameworks, and we trust students to find their own way within that breadth.

Non-dogmatic by design

No single teacher, lineage, or tradition holds the complete picture. We draw from multiple schools — classical Patanjali, Zen, Tibetan Dzogchen, non-dual awareness, and contemporary science — presenting each with equal respect. Students are encouraged to question, compare, and ultimately practise what is true for them.

Structure that serves freedom

We offer clear frameworks, daily rhythms, and periods of silence — not to control, but to remove the friction that prevents genuine practice. Real freedom in meditation does not come from the absence of structure. It comes from moving through structure so completely that it eventually disappears.

The teacher as a guide, not an authority

We act from the deep realisation that the only one who can teach you meditation is yourself. As teachers, we offer structure, guidance, and the benefit of years of practice — but we hold our views lightly. We are here to point. What you find when you look is yours alone.

Practice before theory

You cannot teach from a textbook what can only be understood through direct experience. Our programs are structured so that personal practice always precedes teaching methodology — you sit before you guide, you breathe before you explain. This is the foundation of teaching that has real integrity.

Some of the faces behind Omunity Meditation

Here to guide you in your journey to you. Our teachers are highly qualified, with years of experience in their respective field of expertise. Above being carefully selected for the training, they are also themselves deeply inspired and practitioners of meditation & pranayama.

Devvrat

Meditation & Philosophy

I grew up in a traditional family in Ayodhya, India, and I was introduced to yoga and modern science in my childhood. After graduating in Electrical Engineering, I started working as a Project Manager for ABB, a multinational company in Bangalore, until I decided to leave the corporate world. I dedicated myself fully to the study of Yoga and Meditation. I practiced with different teachers around India. This helped me not only to develop my practice as a student, but also inspired me to teach. Gradually, I completed my Yoga Alliance certified 500h Teacher Training with Mahindra Prasad in Dharamshala, India.  I have pursued a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy at SVYASA Yoga University Bangalore. To me, the practice of meditation means practice of awareness. Incorporating Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation, I am looking for solutions to today's modern problems.

Abhishek

Meditation & Pranayama

I was born and bought up in the World’s Yoga Capital, Rishikesh. I was inclined towards Yoga from Childhood and received a Masters Degree in Yogic Science from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV) University in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. I have completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training, from Aatma Yogashala in Rishikesh and studied with various great Indian teachers and attended intensive Ashtanga and iyengar yoga courses in Rishikesh. I believe in the spreading this art of wellness to eradicate the disease in a natural way. I believe in the power of yogic practice and meditation but always like to remind as a instructor that The power is not in Yoga itself, the true power is already within you. Yoga is just the key to unlocking this treasure. My vision is to spread the learning that i have earn from my Gurus and to helping people to live meaningful life.
